Invisalign

Invisalign – Dublin, Ballsbridge D4

This orthodontic technique uses a series of custom-made aligners to gradually move crooked, gappy or crowded teeth to an improved position. As it is a less noticeable way to straighten teeth, it is suitable for adults or teenagers who may feel self-conscious about wearing very obvious braces. These innovative aligners can also be taken out, so you can maintain your oral hygiene as normal, eat whatever you choose and remove them for special occasions. Invisalign Dublin

What is the Invisalign procedure

  1. Attend a free consultation appointment to discuss your suitability
  2. If you are a suitable candidate for this adult-friendly treatment, we take impressions and photos, and collect other information about your teeth. We then use special 3D technology to create a personalised plan, which shows how your teeth will move and also how they will look after treatment.
  3. Align Technologies will then proceed to make your series of aligners.
  4. When the aligners are ready, you will wear a different one every two weeks until the carefully controlled force shifts your teeth to a better position.
  5. We will monitor your progress approximately every 6 weeks.

Invisalign After-Care

Once Invisalign treatment is complete, a retainer is required to prevent teeth from shifting back to their original position. Retainers are an essential part of any teeth straightening treatment, ensuring long-lasting results and maintaining that beautifully aligned smile.

Does Invisalign Hurt?

Invisalign aligners are designed for comfort, but slight pressure may be felt when switching to a new set. This minor discomfort is a sign that the treatment is working to move your teeth into their ideal position. Unlike traditional braces with metal wires, Invisalign provides a virtually invisible, more comfortable teeth straightening solution.

How Long Does Invisalign Treatment Take?

Treatment times vary based on individual dental needs, but most Invisalign treatment plans are completed within 6–12 months. During the initial consultation, dental clinics will provide a clear timeline based on specific alignment goals.

Can Invisalign Aligners Be Removed?

Yes! Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners are completely removable. However, for optimal results, wearing your aligners for 22–24 hours per day is recommended. They should only be taken out for eating, drinking (except water), and cleaning. The more consistently they are worn, the more effective the treatment will be.

What Makes Invisalign a Great Choice for Teeth Straightening?

Choosing Invisalign over traditional braces offers numerous benefits:

  • No metal wires or brackets—just smooth, comfortable plastic.
  • Virtually invisible aligners, making treatment discreet.
  • The flexibility to remove aligners for special occasions.
  • Customized treatment plan tailored to each individual’s dental structure.
  • Suitable for a wide range of alignment issues, from mild to complex cases.

For those considering a modern approach to teeth straightening, Invisalign treatment offers a seamless and effective way to achieve a straighter smile with minimal disruption to daily life.
